January Mood Board

Life

January 4, 2023

Happy New Year! I hope you had a restful holiday and are feeling good about easing into January and the new year. We spent the holidays at home after a busy December. I traveled to London for 10 days and then did a quick visit to see family before heading home for Christmas. I’m working on a separate post with all of the details of my time in London which I think will be useful for anyone who enjoys a design-focused city holiday.

January is always a favourite time of mine. The new year and then my birthday. It’s a time that I love to spend reflecting and planting seeds for new intentions. I don’t do any big resolutions but I do love to think about this time as a bit of a reset. Getting organized and nesting at home. Smaller decorating projects that make those cozy nights in feel even comfier. This month’s mood board is filled with these things that I’ve been inspired by lately. Mixing textures and subtle patterns, sculptural shapes, and the tone of the month, a mix of nesting and celebrating. A few more things I’m looking forward to this month…

Getting organized for my first full year of running my business full-time

Working on the design of our bedroom scheme

Wrapping up and preparing to photograph two exciting client projects

Finishing season 2 of The White Lotus (how did I wait this long to start this show?!)

Hanging the art that I collected in London

Quiet evenings at home and also some fun evenings out

I hope your year gets off to the best start 🙂
